As fear spreads, Paul’s confidence in God’s word strengthens everyone around him, and the “lowly prisoner” begins to lead—just like Joseph, Daniel, and David before him. This is a call to stop treating prayer as a transaction, seek God’s will over our own, and live with an eternal perspective that rejects materialism and the prosperity gospel.
