Every decision that you make stems from what you think you are, and represents the value that you put upon yourself. ⁴Every little thing you seek and think you want defines you as little to yourself.

³It [the miracle] merely looks on devastation and reminds the mind that what it sees is false.

³A miracle inverts perception which was upside down before, and thus it ends the strange distortions that were manifest. ⁴Now is perception open to the truth. ⁵Now is forgiveness seen as justified.

²I did not understand what giving means, and thought to save what I desired for myself alone. ³And as I looked upon the treasure that I thought I had, I found an empty place where nothing ever was or is or will be.

1 Father, I want what goes against my will, and do not want what is my will to have. ²Straighten my mind, my Father. ³It is sick.

If it is His Love you really want to remember, your specialness needs will recede into the background and His Love, as reflected through Jesus’ teachings of forgiveness, will come to the foreground. If you realize that the purpose of this day is not to satisfy your ego’s needs, but rather to be a classroom in which your only need of forgiveness is satisfied, that purpose will be the foreground, and the daily events and relationships will reflect that changed purpose.

The peace of God envelops me
And I forget all things except His Love.

What I seek today transcends all laws of time and things perceived in time.
…time has stepped aside today.
…forgetting all the foolish toys I made.

The law of love… sinless perception
(Means and end are one.)
(Freedom of the mind)

Today I learn the law of love: that what I give my brother is my gift to me.

I let forgiveness rest upon all things, for thus forgiveness will be given me.

I offer only miracles today, for I would have them be returned to me.

Today the peace of God envelops me, and I forget all things except His love.

The laws of time… sick perception
Insanity of attack, sacrifice and judgement

I can attack but my own sinlessness, and it is only that which keeps me safe.

I am not asked to make a sacrifice to find the mercy and the peace of God.

Anger must come from judgment. Judgment is the weapon I would use against myself to keep the miracle away from me.

²I am he on whom You smile in love…
we [are] abiding in Your smile, with all Your love…
in brotherhood and fatherhood complete…
the Lord of sinlessness conceives us as His Son, a universe of thought completing Him.
2 Let us not, then, attack our sinlessness. ²For it contains the Word of God to us, and in its kind reflection we are saved.
(I can attack but my own sinlessness, and it is only that which keeps me safe.)

⁴The miracles I give are given back in just the form I need to help me with the problems I perceive. ⁵Father, in Heaven it is different, for there, there are no needs. ⁶But here on earth the miracle is closer to Your gifts than any other gift that I can give.

“I am perfect as God created me now.”
“I will be perfect when…”

So what I do is I blame myself for not being perfect, right now… and this is worshipping time. And what I have done is that I have put time in front of God.

⁴You see eventual salvation, not immediate results. ⁵Salvation is immediate.

¹⁰And you seek to be content with sighing, and with “reasoning” you do not understand it now, but will some day. ¹¹And then its meaning will be clear. ¹²This is not reason, for it is unjust, and clearly hints at punishment until the time of liberation is at hand.

⁶Yet he whom I forgive will give me gifts beyond the worth of anything on earth. ⁷Let my forgiven brothers fill my store with Heaven’s treasures, which alone are real. ⁸Thus is the law of love fulfilled. ⁹And thus Your Son arises and returns to You.
