HARNWELL: POTUS passing US security guarantees for Ukraine decision to Congress is a total disaster!

I was surprised therefore to see President Trump hand the responsibility for the decision on US “security guarantees” for Ukraine to Congress, given it has done everything in its power to make “Ukraine First” the official policy of the US.

This manoeuvre could give POTUS the ceasefire he promised whilst cannily avoiding any MAGA backlash over the obligations it’s predicated on.
