1081 2 Tim.4.1-8 Preach the Word

Paul’s final charge to Timothy establishes Scripture as the sole authority for preaching. Timothy must preach the word faithfully, in season and out of season, despite opposition and itching ears. Sound doctrine, careful handling of context, and perseverance are essential amid false teaching and hardship. Paul models steadfast endurance, confident of the crown of righteousness from Christ, the righteous Judge, promised to all who finish the race and love His appearing.
