Episode 1227: All believers will receive a new name Why? Part 1

Hello everyone. In today's Bible study we complete our study on our Lord's letter to the church at Pergamos.

In the final segment of this letter there are some very interesting promises given to His children.

1. Ability to be an overcomer
2. Receipt of God's hidden manna that they must eat
3. A white stone
4. A new name that they will receive

Manna? Does He mean like bread? Why would I need that in heaven????

A white stone? First of all, I didn't even know that there would be stones in heaven and now since I know that there will be at least one, what will I be doing with it? Will I have to take it everywhere I go?

A new name? What's wrong with the name that I have now? I'm a bit found of it. Is this really necessary and why Lord?

Man, this heaven place is definitely sounding a bit strange.

Yes, it is in a wonderful way and I can't wait to get there. Here am I Lord, take me!
