Banishers, Ep26: Isolation

Antea and Red arrive at the gates of Fort Jericho amid rising tension, only to be met with suspicion rather than welcome. Even after aiding in the fort’s defense against a spectral threat, entry is denied. Authority here is not earned through action, but granted through rank.

Instead, the Banishers are sent beyond the walls on a perilous search and rescue, a test of worth assigned by those who remain safely inside. As Antea and Red push into hostile territory in pursuit of a missing expedition, they begin to glimpse the rigid hierarchy and quiet indifference that sustain Fort Jericho’s rule.

Only after their return are the gates finally opened. Directed onward to report in, the Banishers step inside Fort Jericho for the first time, aware that something beneath the fort’s order is already deeply wrong.
