Let me tell you. We was done for. Edge of cliff in a dead end trail.
Dutch again with his plans. Though this time, not so sure it was a real plan or just a lack of options. Hanging, feeding the vultures or jumping off a cliff into the river below and hoping for the best. We took option 3. We fell so far and for so long I never though we would hit the water.
We made it but I was so tired from swimming and this sickness that Dutch had to pull me out of the water.

Dutch said to head back to the reservation while he went off on his own. I just sat there for a while. My life had flashed before my eyes so many times over the last few weeks and nothing I saw made me proud or happy. I saw no peace in my past and I see no peace in my future. I just do not think Tahiti or anywhere other than a six foot hole are in my future.
