FBI Foils 'Massive' New Year's Eve Terror Plot By Extremist Group…4 Arrested In LA, 1 In New Orleans

Posted • December 15, 2025: Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Monday that the FBI had arrested four suspects in an imminent and credible terrorist bombing plot planned for New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles. The news comes on the heels of the horrific antisemitic shooting in Australia on Sunday, which killed 16 people, and the Brown University shooting Saturday night, which left two dead. Bondi said in a statement that a radical leftist group called the Turtle Island Liberation Front was planning to bomb several sites in various locations on the holiday: —— Attorney General Pamela Bondi @AGPamBondi: “After an intense investigation, the Department of Justice, working with our FBI, prevented what would have been a massive and horrific terror plot in the Central District of California (Orange County and Los Angeles).”

The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles. This was an incredible effort by our U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace.
