Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with King Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman on December 15, 2025, marking 75 years of India–Jordan diplomatic relations and the first full bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister in nearly four decades. Both leaders agreed to deepen cooperation in trade, defence, security, and technology, while reaffirming a united stance against terrorism, extremism, and radicalization.
The talks focused on boosting bilateral trade to US$5 billion annually over the next five years, expanding cooperation in fertilizers, renewable energy, water management, ICT, digital payments including UPI, health, tourism, and heritage. Regional issues, including the situation in Gaza, were also discussed, with an emphasis on peace and stability. The visit underscores a renewed strategic partnership between India and Jordan.
