We hear the phrase "nothing new under the sun" often to describe the cyclical nature of history and civilization. But is this adequate to illustrate the current circumstances the world faces, and does it provide an accurate prediction for how further events will unfold as the West declines? Do people use this phrase more as a soothing statement rather than an idea tied to actual precedent from times past?
