This Was Sick: CBS Town Hall Lets Activist Ambush Charlie Kirk’s Widow

The last person who spoke to Charlie Kirk before his assassination was given the microphone during a CBS News town hall — and used it to ambush Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, with a political “gotcha” question about President Trump.

Erika Kirk sat down for a CBS town hall moderated by Bari Weiss, following an emotional interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner. During the discussion, Erika condemned those who celebrate her husband’s murder, calling them “sick,” and spoke through tears about the impact on their 3-year-old daughter.

“He’s a human being. You think he deserved that? Tell that to my 3-year-old daughter.”

Then came the jaw-dropping moment.

Hunter Kozak, a self-described “progressive” Utah Valley University student — and the last person to speak to Charlie Kirk before he was killed — asked Erika whether she would condemn President Trump’s rhetoric, accusing him of calling for Democrats to be hanged.

Rather than take the bait, Erika responded with grace and restraint, saying the issue is “so much deeper than one person.”

“You can choose to have evil in your heart, or you can choose to have light.”

The decision to put Kozak front and center in this town hall has raised serious questions — and left many Americans stunned.

⚠️ This clip is unbelievable. You truly can’t make this stuff up.
