Experiment with the USB Flash Drive to get comfortable with it. Then install Linux onto a computer you've dedicated strictly to Linux operations.

You will need a thumb drive with at least 8 MB of memory. Format the disk. It should have no other data on it that you want to keep, as it will be overwritten.
