Amaro Manhattan — Built, Not Stirred (Common Man Style)

This is an Amaro Manhattan the way I actually make it at home. No bar tools, no fancy technique — just pour, build, and drink. It’s rich, bitter-sweet, and way more forgiving than the classic, which makes it perfect for a random weeknight when you want something good without making a production out of it.

The Amaro Manhattan is an easy drink that I make to relax at night, primarily in the colder months of the year when I'm not yearning for tiki drinks or rum with pineapples and fruits. The taste is powerful, potent bourbon curbed only slightly by the use of marashino cherry juice. The amaro keeps up a slight bitter bite without overwhelming the senses, but allows for the absence of the fortified wine taste of a more traditional manhattan.

Amaro Manhattan
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 1/2 oz Amaro (Bullyboy)
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
- 1 dash Aromatic Bitters
- 1 bar spoon Luxardo Marashino cherry syrup (and cherry)
