Cultivating Communities | Permaculture Beyond Survival and Utopia | Watch Party
Watch Party Description This watch party brings together two very different voices in the permaculture and regenerative living world "Stephen Brooks and Paul Wheaton" to explore what it actually means to live regeneratively in a changing world. Stephen Brooks, co-founder of Ecoversity, represents a vision of abundance, biodiversity, and regenerative culture rooted in long-term systems thinking and global ecological design. Paul Wheaton, founder of Permies and Wheaton Labs, is known for his practical, often blunt focus on cold-climate resilience, calories, heat, shelter, and designs that work when conditions are hard. Rather than picking sides, this watch party asks a deeper question: What lasts? What ideas translate across climates? What breaks under real-world pressure? And how do we design land-based lives that regenerate both ecosystems and people without burnout, fantasy, or false promises? This is not about building community in the abstract. It’s about cultivating shared ground, honest conversation, and human-scale practices that work in hard places over long periods of time. Come to watch, listen, and think no pressure, no perfection, just real discussion.
