Greek Lasagna (Pastitsio).
Ingredients.
Pasta sauce.
1/2 kilo (1lb.) of lean ground beef.
5 large ripe tomatoes blended in the food processor.
1 medium size onion cut in small pieces.
1/3 cup of olive oil.
1/3 cup of water.
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, all spice.
1 tablespoon of sugar.
Mix.
100 gr. of parmesan or kefalotiri cheese.
3 eggs blended.
Pastitsio noodles.
1 package of number # 2 pastitsio noodles or 1 box of rigatoni noodles.
1/2 stick of butter.
Bésamel sauce.
2 cups (use a little more if it's too thick) of 2% milk.
1 cup of semolina flour.
1 stick of butter.
3 eggs blended.
A handful of parmesan or kefalotiri cheese (shredded).
Salt.
