Babies do some pretty strange things in those first few months—sudden jerky movements, crossed or wandering eyes, lots of grunting, and all kinds of unexpected sounds. When you notice these for the first time, it’s completely normal to feel anxious and wonder, “Is this okay?”

In this video, I talk through six baby behaviors that parents ask me about all the time in my work as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. I’ll explain what’s actually going on as your baby develops, what’s totally normal, and when it might be worth checking in with your doctor—just to be safe.

If any of these behaviors have been worrying you, my hope is that this video helps you feel calmer, more confident, and reassured.
