🎪 BEHIND THE SCENES
The film was shot on an incredibly low budget of$37,000 in just about six days. To save money, director Ted V. Mikels filmed the opening credits with toy robots in a park without permits. The lab equipment was bought from army surplus stores. Writer/co-producer Wayne Rogers (later of MASH* fame) offered his friend Peter Falk's house as a location, and Falk was even slated for a cameo that was cut for being "too funny".
