There has been a lot of talk lately about this being the most Second Amendment friendly Department of Justice in history. That may be true, but it highlights a much bigger issue.

Government does not easily give up regulation or control. Over decades, layers of laws and rules have made it easy for lawful, peaceful citizens to run afoul of the system while violent offenders continue to slip through the cracks. When enforcement is easier against compliant people than against dangerous criminals, priorities get inverted.

This video looks at how overregulation, malum prohibitum laws, and enforcement culture have shaped modern gun policy, and why simply having a more friendly DOJ does not solve the underlying problem. Real public safety comes from focusing on violent crime, not turning technical violations into life-altering prosecutions.
