On a hot mic, Trump expressed frustration over his inability to get his picks approved due to Senate rules, stating, "I can't appoint anybody!" This comes as interim appointments pose a significant issue for him. Handpicked interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan's appointment was deemed illegal, and Acting U.S. Attorney Alina Habba was forced to step down. When asked about Habba, Trump blamed the Senate's "Blue Slip" rule for preventing him from getting the appointments he wants.
