Larian Studios UNDER ATTACK For Using AI! Divinity Overshadowed By Jealous and Bad Faith Actors!

The reveal of a new Divinity game at The Game Awards earlier this month was a big deal for Larian Studios. The follow up project to the 2023 Game of the Year in Baldur's Gate 3 will have tremendous hype that some people are looking to subvert. CEO Swen Vincke made an off handed remark that their concept artists would be using AI modeling for points of reference and inspiration, but would be removed before implemented, caused quite a stir with people looking for an in to take them down. It didn't help that some journalists willfully and maliciously relayed the quote, sans context, so that the rabid anti-AI crowd could dogpile a studio doing what everyone else in the business does. It's almost like they have an axe to grind and this is a perfect, albeit fabricated opportunity...
