Big Block Modifieds at Sawtooth Mountain

A National career race at Sawtooth Mountain Speedway on Expert difficulty. This track is a high banked bowl, with a surface that is mostly smooth. There is a bump/hole in the bottom of each corner which can really upset the car. There is a lot of room for maneuverability around traffic, but getting off the bottom of the corners is much slower. The track does get slick as the night goes on. I find the bottom fastest all night.

A very good race with 3 cautions. The first 2 cautions came as Kevin Root spun out and came to a stop. The third and final caution came when Peter Britten got together with Marc Johnson, with Britten spinning. Generally traffic navigation was very good and I don't think I made contact with anyone. I did get into the outside wall once when I dove low and caught a corner hole wrong, shooting me up the track. Overall the race itself was very good.
