From the beginning Satan knew his doom was sealed. The Woman would give birth to a child that would destroy him. Since that time he has sought to destroy the seed of the woman, namely children, and especially he sought to destroy Jesus before he was Born. He failed in his endeavor and ever since then he has sought to wreak revenge on children; especially those of believers.
