In mid-November, Reese bought a cheap billiards table from a co-worker at Goodwill. After bringing it home, and setting it up. Reese and his father learned the table was crap, as there was no slate to stabilize the ball, as it was nothing but cheap wood. Over the course of the rest of the month, after returning the table, the family would clean out the room, moving the living room to another part of the house, repurposing the room as a game room. Reese would learn from his father that someone close by was selling a professional billiards table, and they pooled their resources and bought it. After struggling a bit to lift the slate and move it into position, the table was finally re-assembled.

2025 EDIT: And then a year later, Mom would start dumping random crap on the table, using it as a storage table, and we never reclaimed it. Even after she died 14 months later, it would take forever to get her stuff off the table. And then Dad's new wife would take the room over, and pile more shit on the pool table. To this day, there's still crap piled on top of it, and we can't get rid of any of it, because reasons. It angers me to no end.
