Since 2022, NASA's Martian rover Perseverance has been documenting direct evidence of lightning on the red planet. The rover's super-cam microphone has identified over 55 electrical discharges based on their acoustic and electrical signatures.

In the early 2000s, meteorologists discovered dust devils on Earth with electric fields in excess of 4,000 volts per meter. Include the observational data linking increased terrestrial lightning with dramatic outbursts from the sun—a phenomenon with no explanation in modern meteorology—it's especially telling that Martian lightning exists in a water-cloud free atmosphere about one-half of 1% as dense as Earth's.

It's in this environment we witness Mars produce the largest dust devils in our solar system—reaching as high as 20 km. No wonder we observe congregations of dust devils driving the most powerful dust storms which nearly engulf the entire red planet.

Independent researcher Stuart Talbott refers to scientific analysis on Martian lightning that the dust in its atmosphere isn't enough to produce electricity—another telling acknowledgment of the Electric Universe Model and plasma cosmology.
