Welcome to the 3rd Sci-fi Saturday episode, A peek into Nerd culture, what works, what doesn't, and what the fans really want.

In the 3rd episode, I review The Lost Regiment series by Dr. William R. Forstchen. At 75, Dr. Forstchen is a professor of history and writing at Montreat College, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. He has published over 30 books but nothing new on the Lost Regiment Series in 25 years.

His Civil War related publications have continued, just not with this storyline. When it comes to art and writing, you don’t finish the final product, you just stop improving and adding to it. Perhaps that is where this series is at.

In this episode, I will take you through the series and try my best to avoid spoiler, until after we synopsize the books. If you appreciate world building and a writing style that allows you to get emotionally invested in the characters who take you through a world of unimaginable horror and the moral fight to defeat it, then this is the series for you.
