G day G day Rockstars, On December 14, 2025, the iconic shores of Bondi Beach in Sydney a place synonymous with joy, summer, and community became the scene of unimaginable horror, During 'Chanukah by the Sea,' a vibrant public celebration marking the first night of Hanukkah organized by Chabad Bondi, around a thousand people gathered in Archer Park to light candles and embrace the festival of light. In moments, that light was shattered. Two gunmen – father and son Sajid and Naveed Akram – opened fire in a targeted antisemitic attack inspired by Islamic State ideology. Fifteen innocent lives were taken, including a young child, and dozens more were wounded in Australia's deadliest terrorist incident and second-deadliest mass shooting in modern history,
