Exegesis is the process of drawing out the original, intended meaning of a biblical text.Hermeneutics is the theory and method of interpretation—the framework we use to understand Scripture. Eisegesis is the practice of reading into the text your own opinions, assumptions, or personal agenda. We should use hermeneutics to guide their reading, practice exegesis to understand Scripture accurately, and avoid eisegesis, which puts human opinion above divine revelation.
