Running through injury? Change your mindset
If you are running through a niggle or injury, you should probably change your mindset.
Your ego is not your friend. Continuing running will probably make things worse, so make the tough decision to switch things up.
It is more of a flex, or strength, to be honest with yourself and to pull back. It isn't easy, but it's the right thing.
Being flexible is important. We may need to be flexible at a race, too.
Alter your focus towards recovery and take care of yourself. Find other ways to get your training in.
Maybe now is the time to incorporate those bubble baths that you've been wishing that you had more time for.
Taking a step back isn't the end, even if your brain tells you that it is. Call out the BS thoughts.
