Merry Christmas everyone! In this episode I arrive in Maine. It's midsummer, warm and pleasant. After reprovisioning in Brunswick, I begin my downeast meander with a short trip to the Basin, on the New Meadows river. However, conditions are less than ideal to attempt the narrow cut by sail and oar, and I chicken out. The following morning brings near calm conditions and a flooding current. I will have transit the cut by sculling oar. Well I'm going to give it a try.
