Gordon Chang: As for that April meeting, from any number of perspectives, it’s not a good idea for the United States. The CCP will use it as a propaganda tool against America, claiming the U.S. is weak. We cannot compromise with Communist China — unfortunately, compromise simply doesn’t work with a militant regime.
