Discipleship — Hearing God’s Voice Through Scripture

Many believers ask, “How do I hear God’s voice?”
The Bible gives us a clear and grounding answer: God speaks most clearly and consistently through His Word.

Today we looked at Jesus’ words in John 10:27 — “My sheep hear my voice…” — and saw how Scripture is living, active, and able to speak directly into our hearts (Hebrews 4:12). God’s Word brings light, understanding, and direction when we slow down and listen.

We also learned that God’s voice will never contradict His Word. The Holy Spirit speaks through Scripture, reminding us of what Jesus has already said and leading us into truth.

Hearing God isn’t about chasing feelings or signs — it’s about staying rooted in His Word, listening with humility, and responding in obedience.

Tomorrow we’ll take what we’ve learned and talk about how to apply it by setting up a simple Bible reading plan that’s realistic and sustainable.
