Video game prices are rising… but the value we’re getting is shrinking.
$70 even $80 titles are becoming the new normal. But are they actually worth it?

In this video, we explore the confusing history of video game pricing — from cartridge chaos in the ‘80s to the rise of live service games, subscription models like Game Pass (and their ever increase price increases) remakes, and the indie revolution.
We break down why AAA publishers like EA, Ubisoft, Activision, Sony, Microsoft with games like Outer Worlds 2, Black Ops 7, Fable, Gears Of War and Mario Kart World from Nintendo are charging more than ever.

Meanwhile, smaller indie and AA studios are thriving, offering $40–$50 games that rival or even surpass AAA production.
