Newly released body camera and dash cam footage provides a dramatic view of a police chase in Newburgh Heights, Ohio, involving three young children—ages 8, 11, and 12 who were in a stolen car and ultimately crashed into a home.

"Shock. One word. Shock," said Newburgh Heights Police Chief John Majoy.

Chief Majoy explained that shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday, a Flock license plate reader flagged a stolen vehicle in the area. When officers attempted to stop the car, the 11-year-old driver fled, accelerating to speeds of 60 to 80 mph.

The child drove westbound on Harvard Avenue, crossed the Harvard-Denison Bridge, and then lost control, crashing into a house at the corner of Denison Avenue and West 20th Street. The children fled on foot but were quickly apprehended. No one was injured, though the incident caused minor damage to the home.
