Is the Reformation over? With the signing of From Conflict to Communion and other ecumenical documents it looks like the Reformation is over. Do Protestants now believe what Catholics believe about such doctrines as transubstantiation, veneration of the host, ordination of pastors, differentiation between clergy and laity, and the primacy of the Pope?

In 2017, 500 years after the start of the Protestant Reformation, leaders of the Lutheran and Roman Catholic churches signed the agreement, From Conflict to Communion. Other Protestant churches have also signed since that time. This represents an astonishing change in attitude between Protestants and Catholics toward each other. What has happened?

When the Jews rejected Christ, saying, “We have no king but Caesar” they brought a curse upon themselves and Jerusalem was destroyed. Has Protestantism rejected King Jesus and accepted a Roman king in His place? Is history about to be repeated?
