4th Commandment Prayer

This is a compilation of prayers to God for His grace to be able to follow and keep the 4th commandment. In this prayer we ask for God's grace to honour and respect our fathers and mothers, and for our parents to be involved in the lives of their children.

I begin with the prayer taught to us by Our Lord Himself, The Lord's Prayer (The 'Our Father'). This is how Jesus taught us to pray.

Then the Hail Mary, (the greeting from the angel, the inspired greeting of Elizabeth and the prayer of the church heralding the conception of our saviour) this prayer throws the demons in disarray for so many reasons.

The next part is a part of the divine Mercy Prayer. God has infinite mercy on us; all we need to do is to ask Him for it and not abandon us to our ways. From many apparitions, it has been revealed that Jesus wills to give us His grace, but no one is asking. So I take the opportunity, right after asking for mercy, to ask His grace for many ways that will enable us to honour our parents.
