New footage of the destruction of a Ukrainian Armed Forces strongpoint by strikes from 2S43 Malva self-propelled artillery.

Servicemen of the 27th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade of the Zapad group of forces destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces strongpoint in Kharkiv Oblast using strikes from the Malva self-propelled artillery system.

According to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the artillerymen received precise coordinates of a camouflaged target. They deployed the SPG and proceeded to carry out the combat mission. The actions of the servicemen can be seen in the released video.

Using ЗОФ45/64 high-explosive fragmentation rounds, the crew blanketed the enemy’s fortified position deep inside a wooded area with intense fire. The infrastructure facility used for command and supply was completely destroyed.

The ballistics of the 152 mm 2A64 gun allow firing these rounds at a range of 24,700 m; Krasnopol-M2/D guided rounds at 40–43 km; and ЗОФ61 rocket-assisted rounds at 29,000 m. The key advantages over the standard Msta-S apart from the better ballistics are a high-performance digital fire-control system (ASUNO) and the wheeled Voshchina chassis, which reduces deployment time to firing positions by 35% when operating on roads.
