Biblical Audio Commentary – The Bias Lens

When we’ve been taught certain aspects of our faith through attending church, reading certain books, by heeding the words of what we consider a faithful pastor, or by reading only parts of the Bible, how much does that influence our perspective of the doctrine to which we hold fast? Not to be Captain Obvious, but I would argue that for the vast majority of those who consider themselves Christians, both truly born-again by the grace of God and those who profess Christianity but are not actually saved, what they believe is strongly influenced in these ways. “What’s the matter with that?” you may ask. If you’ve followed my work for any period of time, you know that I strongly believe that without a solid Scriptural basis for our faith that comes only through daily and repeated reading of the whole Bible front to back, people are missing critical aspects of the entire Biblical narrative. And this is a problem.
