Take Some Time Off

Taking time to relax, me time, time to ourselves.

These need to be factored in.

They need to be prioritised and scheduled.

This is something which, recovering from burnout and the verge of a nervous breakdown, I am learning.

When we are refreshed, three things happen.

1. Others around us who we care about, particularly sensitive souls, can feel the difference.

I read an article recently about how other people's nervous systems are literally effected by being around us. Either for good or bad.

This effects them when we are calm. It also effects them when we are stressed.

Taking time helps those we care about.

2. It clears our mind.

Sometimes a problem seems smaller once we are able to take some time out, have a rest, and clear out the funk from our nervous system.

3. We are able to actually make better decisions.

Leaping from one job to another without taking time to think gets things done. Yet prioritising and making better decisions can come after having a rest.

Take some time off.

It leads to better decision making.

You can see more easily through the clouds.
