CS #346. Night Train to Munich

is a 1940 British spy thriller film directed by Carol Reed and starring Margaret Lockwood, Rex Harrison, and Paul Henreid. It is known for its blend of suspense, comedy, and romance, and is often compared to Alfred Hitchcock's The Lady Vanishes, as it features the same screenwriters (Sidney Gilliat and Frank Launder) and recurring characters Charters and Caldicott.
Synopsis
The film is set in the prelude to World War II. When the Nazis invade Prague, a Czech scientist, Dr. Axel Bomasch, who is developing important armor-plating for the Allies, manages to escape to England. His daughter, Anna, is captured and sent to a concentration camp. In the camp, she meets Karl Marsen, a fellow prisoner who helps her escape, and they travel to England together.
