A dream-like, cyclical narrative exploring the unconscious of Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker (HCE), a Dublin pub owner plagued by rumors of a vague transgression in Phoenix Park, symbolizing universal guilt and history's cycles. The "story" follows HCE's fall from grace, his wife Anna Livia Plurabelle's (ALP) attempts to redeem him, and the rivalry between their twin sons, Shem and Shaun, all through a complex, pun-filled language that mirrors the fluidity of dream and myth, ending mid-sentence to loop back to the beginning. . A story with no real beginning or end (it ends in the middle of a sentence and begins in the middle of the same sentence), this "book of Doublends Jined" is as remarkable for its prose as for its circular structure.

Written in a fantastic dream-language, forged from polyglot puns and portmanteau words, the Wake features some of Joyce's most hilarious characters: the Irish barkeep Humphrey Chimpden Earwicker, Shem the Penman, Shaun the Postman, and Anna Livia Plurabelle.

Joyce's final work, Finnegan's Wake is his masterpiece of the night as Ulysses is of the day. Supreme linguistic virtuosity conjures up the dark underground worlds of sexuality and dream. Joyce undermines traditional storytelling and all official forms of English and confronts the different kinds of betrayal - cultural, political and sexual - that he saw at the heart of Irish history. Dazzlingly inventive, with passages of great lyrical beauty and humour, Finnegans Wake remains one of the most remarkable works of the twentieth century........................................................................................................................................................................................You all know I don’t start my day without two things: standing for what I believe in… and a strong cup of coffee that does the same.

That’s why I drink Blackout Coffee, a 100% American company that’s unapologetically patriotic, pro-2A, and anti-woke. They don’t just roast incredible coffee, they stand for the very values this country was built on: God, family, and freedom.

If you’re like me and need to hit the ground running, try their Morning Reaper medium roast, it’s bold, smooth, and kicks like a mule.

Or if you’re into something darker, like, Founding Fathers dark, grab their 1776 blend. It’s rich, fearless, and roasted to perfection.
