Have you ever had your life completely turned upside down just when everything seemed planned and secure? Joseph certainly did—as a righteous man facing his fiancée's unexpected pregnancy, he planned to quietly end the engagement, yet God had something greater in mind. Through the first chapter of Matthew, Joseph undergoes his own transformation as a key player in the Christmas story.
Joseph's response teaches us the essence of faith—immediate obedience despite personal cost and speaking the name that will echo through eternity. This Christmas, like Joseph, we're called to surrender our shattered expectations and trust that God's disruptions are divine appointments leading us to worship Jesus, the only name by which we must be saved.
