Andrew Anderson here. Today, we're going to talk about one thing that I've spoken about 25 times, and that is, are you doing videos? I am going to pay attention to my driving. I'm not going to be looking at the camera. I'm going to take in this beautiful view that we have here. It's full on fall. Finally, the leaves have finally changed. And whoops, want to avoid the bat in the road that was there. A literal bat.
So, one of the things you've got to get through, you need to fundamentally understand if you want to rank for AI searches, that they're taking a broad scope. It's a lot broader than what Google did for SEO. So, the more points of contact, and the more points that you can establish that you actually know what the heck you're talking about.
In this age of where one of my better quotes, I'm going to give myself total attribution here, "Most experts aren't." You can be the expert. Okay? And this is going to go a little bit longer than one minute, so it's not going to really be a short, but that's okay. I'll do another version of this, but really, if you know something you do, all of us have this intrinsic knowledge, and I'm like one of the worst. I'm throwing these rocks out of a glass house that has virtually every window pane in it broken.
And I'm looking here and I just see a nice, red tail hawk flying across the thing. So, I have definitely have ADHD, all the letter things, but to make my point, is if you're interested in, you can identify hawks as they fly or what type of birds it is. Not everybody has that ability. You can do that. Most guys have better peripheral vision for identifying movement, although women have better peripheral vision overall, but we are trained to be the hunter, killers, and survivor because if we don't notice that stuff, all of your ancestors that didn't, they're dead, every single one of them.
So, believe it or not, you are, you come from a long Line of winners. And I know I'm rambling here, but that's okay because I'm probably going to put this one on, well, I'll put this on either The Longer Crowbar or iQ Marketers. But anyway, if you're a difference person, you'll be able to follow along with this. So it's, not a big deal.
So, my point is that we all have expertise for things that we take for granted. For instance, I saw a video, where the guy was putting cedar shake shingles as siding. Okay. I've done probably close to half a million cedar shakes that I put on myself in a previous life, and it was no big deal. Right? And I would probably, without watching him, how to set up a basic way to do cedar shake shingles on the side of roof. It was a short, had a bazillion hits. He was doing it in a technique that's okay, but it wasn't the best one. I'm thinking, my God, I could go do that. So, just whatever it is that you like to do or go back through it realistically, even ask ChatGPT or Claude, and you give it your list of skill sets, and it will tell you, it'll go out and search how many videos there are on that, and you'll be amazed at what you can do.
And here's the other thing, if you can't talk for an hour or two extemporaneously on a subject that you're supposedly an expert in, you're not really an expert. Okay? But then again, I've seen people that aren't experts go to ChatGPT or get one little tidbit, and they take that from a master, and they become known as the expert in that thing, even though they're not. And I'm not saying fake it till you make it, that's bullshit.
But anyway, get your videos out there if you want to survive when the AEO flood is coming through, probably the one of the most important things you can do that you have full control over.
