Discipleship — Rooted in the Word

Discipleship isn’t built by rushing — it’s built by rooting.

Today we paused to reflect on what it means to be rooted in God’s Word and to remain in Christ. Scripture doesn’t just inform us; it forms us. When we delight in God’s Word and meditate on it daily, our lives become steady, nourished, and fruitful in the right season.

Jesus reminds us in John 15 that fruit is not produced by striving, but by remaining. A branch doesn’t work harder to bear fruit — it stays connected to the vine. In the same way, disciples grow by staying close to Jesus and allowing His Word to dwell richly in them.

True worship flows from delight. When God’s Word becomes precious to us, obedience becomes our response — not out of pressure or performance, but out of love. This is how discipleship grows quietly, steadily, and faithfully.

Take a moment today to open your Bible, remain in Him, and let His Word guide your next step.
