Cat in the house with a snack-based intention.
Hear a skitter-skat—oh no, not again,
Something grabbed my tail and my last two brain cells then.

Will I catch it? Dude, probably not,
Missed the jump, face-planted straight into a pot.
Lights go off? GREAT, now I’m blind,
Ran into a wall but I meant that, fine.

To the extreme, I nap on the floor,
Wake up mad ‘cause I forgot what for.
Knock off cups like it’s performance art,
Stare at nothing, miss the mouse by a foot and a half.

Stage is lit, litter box candle wax,
Mouse still gone but I’m proud of my attacks.
I tried my best, now it’s dinner time—
Meow real loud like I totally won that crime. 🐭🐾
