Does Jesus bring peace or division?

His birth, His life, His death, death, and His resurrection would trigger a spiritual war as the powers of darkness sought to destroy and remove what, from their point of view, was an invasion from God into their turf, into their territory. Satan has usurped God's control over the earth and taken over His role as the god of this world and he doesn't want the real God coming in to remove him from that position, which is why Jesus came into the world.
