Discipleship — Jesus’ Model of Prayer

Jesus didn’t give us prayer as a script to repeat, but a pattern to live from.

When He taught His disciples to pray, He showed them how to approach God — as Father, with reverence, surrender, daily dependence, forgiveness, and trust. Prayer begins with relationship and ends with worship, reminding us that everything belongs to God: the kingdom, the power, and the glory.

This model prayer reshapes how we come before the Lord. It pulls our focus off ourselves and places it back where it belongs — on God’s will, God’s provision, and God’s protection. When we pray this way, our hearts slowly align with heaven, even while we’re still on earth.

Take time today to slow down and pray with intention. Let prayer become more than words — let it become a way of living before the Father.
