Angels Can Speak Figuratively

God often speaks in a figurative language, especially in dreams. Most of the time dreams are not literal. There are examples in the Bible, where even angels in dreams spoke in a figurative way. One example is when an angel spoke to Joseph in a dream in the New Testament, encouraging him to take Mary as his wife. Most dreams are in a parable-like language and need interpreted.
