You left,
and the world didn’t pause to acknowledge it.

The streets still remembered our footsteps,
but they never asked where you went.
The songs still played,
like nothing had been taken from them.

I kept waiting for life to collapse out of respect for what we lost.
But it didn’t.
It continued—quietly, efficiently, without mercy.

And that’s the part no one prepares you for.
Not the leaving.
But having to live inside a world
that forgot we ended,
while I remember everything.
