Suno - Neighborhood Feast

In the wake of Trump's controversial remarks about Haitian "refugees" in the USA eating people's cats and dogs in 2024, I had Suno whip up this little novelty song about going hunting Haitian-style for some free-range meat for one's dinner table. In all fairness, Trump was exaggerating the situation somewhat (though the "refugees" were indeed making nuisances of themselves snagging an occasional pet or wild animal for their dinner from the neighborhoods hosting them) and it's worth remembering the Haitians don't typically keep cats and dogs as pets in their home country and therefore doubtless weren't expecting anybody to mind if they snagged any such for their dinner the way they regularly did back there. Also, most of us wouldn't mind their grabbing a few ducks or geese for their meals (as they were also doing) if they'd only gotten a proper hunting license first.

Bottom line: don't try read too much political subtext into this particular song of mine; it's only a joke, people.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Lookin' out my window, what do I see?
Critters in the yard just runnin' free.
Furry lil' bunnies hop so high;
Time to snag 'em for a pie!

[Verse 2]
Squirrels on the wire think they're sly.
Turkeys waddling; don't know why.
Neighbors' cats sneak through the fence.
Boil the pot; this all makes sense.

[Instrumental]

[Chorus]
Neighborhood feast; what's on the grill?
Possum stew; oh, what a thrill!
Roast 'em up just for fun;
Tasty treats when the day is done!

[Verse 3]
Stray dog wanders down the lane;
Grab that mutt for our food chain!
Ducks and chickens will taste great
Served up on our dinner plate.

[Bridge]
Raccoons diggin' through my trash,
Turtle soup, and some snake meat hash.
Geese fly low, can't get away;
More birds for our main entree.

[Instrumental]

[Chorus][x2]
Neighborhood feast; what's on the grill?
Possum stew; oh, what a thrill!
Roast 'em up just for fun;
Tasty treats when the day is done!
