Authorities in Alabama are continuing an urgent search for 4-year-old Johnathan Everett Boley, who was reported missing from the Jasper area of Walker County on December 31, 2025. The child was last seen near a rural property along Highway 195, sparking a large-scale search involving local deputies, state law enforcement, air support, and emergency management teams.

According to officials, Johnathan was in the care of his father at the time he disappeared and was scheduled to be returned to his mother later that day. During the investigation, deputies discovered explosive materials on the property, temporarily halting search efforts due to safety concerns. The child’s father has since been taken into custody on explosives-related charges. Authorities have not publicly named him as a suspect in the child’s disappearance.

Search crews are navigating steep, wooded terrain using helicopters, thermal imaging, and ground teams as the operation continues into the new year. Officials have described the child as being in extreme danger, and an emergency missing child alert remains active across the state.

Johnathan is described as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt, black pants, and Paw Patrol shoes. Authorities believe locating a black dog that may have been with him could be key to finding the child.
